Muriwai and the Crystal Ray Sky.

Sulfur crowned gannets
Raining like brimstone
Having sown wild oats
Two thousand km away
Honing their flints
With pearlers and bounders
Return to fight, for a
Place in purgatory
Their mere centimetres square
Of guano-coated bedrock
Spearhead since '95...

...Muriwai...

... one of those sugary crystal ray days
On a roll, you stroll down the beach
To the praise of the waves
Where they overtake the island
With sun-drenched clarity, you continue
Onwards with Moses' authority, and
The waves recede, as you knew they would
Further back than they possibly should
You continue, to the western outreach
Entering the cave through rocky teeth
Somehow still dry, now sharply aware;
Brain keening dangers, the value of air
The fact that blind faith has found you
In here...

..shining with light, no turning back
Stuck to the fate of your one minded track
Waves returning, hailing rebirth,
A final distraction, lies there on the earth
A friend's body - The cost of this tour
(You stupid stupid bastard!!!) (adrenalin surge)
Fortunately though, a fleeting apparition
A warning against mission's repetition...

Coming full circle, feet still dry
You smile to yourself
And the crystal ray sky
And the sparkling black sands
Along Muriwai
Where sulfur crowned gannets
Continue to reign
And the praise of the waves
Will always remain.

Even if such premonitions were painted in neon across the sky
Many feet would caress into receding waves
And in the end not be dry

beautiful work Glenn
I read sadness and hope and oblivious nature of humanity

An inverse place of wonder under the horizon line that divides what birds do and where they fly.

A very nice image of the numberless permutations of nature.

What a journey. And such clarity in sea foam!
It sounds like the narrator, with his dry feet, has come to appreciate where he finally stands.

Love "one minded track". The switcharoo.

Welcome back A.S.S. or C(onventional) W(isdom)?

Mother Nature has shot you a stern look and has stopped you in your own journey's tracks. Now at your best behavior, your dry feet can sink into "the sparkling black sands along Muriwai".

This inspired me to go for a run in the woods today. Thank you, Glenn.

I really like the whole thing, it is great, but the last verse is the best for me, it just flows so smoothly and has crystal imagery. Thanks for sharing a postcard of what sounds like an inspiring place. Take care,

Bob

You inspired me to do some research on this place you call home. It all sounds beautiful except for the June- August winter part. Cheer up, it's almost spring!

Cytheria One of today's hottest adult video stars, Cytherea likes her sex rough and dirty. But what she is most noted for is her amazing squirting ability (aka female ejaculation.) Not only dose she squirt, but also she normally drenches her co-stars when she does! Cytherea is a teen dream. She is naturally beautiful with natural perky breasts. Her amazing deep throat ability is also high on her resume of talents.
