Slow Poetry Movement
For poetry enthusiats
today is national slow poetry day
so go ahead
lentement lentement
give some mindful mastication
let the word sauce dribble
as they perambulate peristaltically
to oesophagus's underworld
awash in your acid
their vitality absorbed
feel their nourishment
sense their resonance
their rhythm
on your palette
pass some on

Impressions... wow, thank you thank you thank you. just what the doctor (oh, wait, that's you) ordered.
Awww shucks, thanks ma'am.
dear slow poet,
you're clever, did you know? whether i'm meant to read slow or you're meant to write slow, i don't know for sure; but either way, you've done it with this poem. to read it is to slow the heart rate, slow the mind, slow the image and flux and flow of the steam rising from my tea to a dance of water particles floating into the atmosphere... how do i describe what you've done?
am loving you more the more i read you.
happy slow poetry day,
katy
p.s. i think we should make it slow poetry week. what says you?
Hi Katy , thanks for your words (again!. Slow poetry week sounds like a great idea. I always look forward to reading your latest. I really had to chew over "Finale" and its so good I am afraid to offer comment! I just think I have a grip on it and it changes.
Cheers
Glenn

Bloody brilliant. ^_^ I'm quite fascinated with your choice of words. It has led me to read more of your poems here, one after the other... I'd have to say I'm riveted. *grin* I especially loved reading "Osiris and Horus Amaze Me," "Lifes A Peach .. or maybe a nectarine," and "A walk in the remnants of a cyclone."
Thank you. ^_^
Hi soulless, Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate your comments. Its interesting to me to see how different people like different poems. Will drop by your place for a good read soon.
Cheers
Glenn
